Celebration of 76th Independence Day of India (15th August 2022)

76th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervour and gaiety. After flag hoisting and singing of National Anthem, High Commissioner Binaya Srikanta Pradhan read out speech of Hon'ble President of India; followed by prize distribution to winners of AKAM Quiz from Tanzania.

Students of Indian school, Dar es Salaam, well known singer Bipin Raichada, women and children sang patriotic songs on the occasion. Indian community children raised awareness on soil conservation through their dance presentation 'save soil'. About 600 guests from Indian diaspora including leaders of Indian communities attended the celebrations.
