High Commission of India celebrated 77th Independence Day of India with pride and joy. Over 700 members of Indian diaspora and Friends of India attended the flag hoisting ceremony.

High Commissioner Binaya Srikanta Pradhan read out Hon'ble President's address to the Nation full of hope and possibilities.

Independence Day reception was held in the evening at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre. H.E. Abdallah H Ulega, Minister for Livestock & Fisheries was the Chief Guest. Deputy Speaker of National Assembly, H.E. Mussa Azan Zungu, Mama Mongella, IT Minister of Comoros, MPs, eminent guests from Government, business, Indian diaspora and diplomatic community totalling over 500 joined the celebrations.
