Promotion of Health Sector Cooperation between India-Tanzania (23 March 2022)

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health of Tanzania, Prof. Abel Makubi, representatives from major hospitals of Tanzania & India, Pharma companies, medical tourism industry & health sector stakeholders participated in “Health Sector Cooperation between India-Tanzania” event organized by High Commission of India on 23rd March 2022.

Representatives from Indian hospitals like Apollo, Max Healthcare, MIOT Chennai gave an account of world class treatment at affordable cost available in India & their work in Tanzania. Representative from Muhimbili National Hospital informed the audience about cooperation with Indian hospitals for advance surgery. About 100 participants from health sector participated in the event.

India is a reliable partner of Tanzania in pharma products, capacity building of doctors, medical staff and equipment & investment in health sector. There is scope for much more cooperation in the area.
