High Commission of India and Tanzania Kabaddi Sports Association organized India Tanzania Kabaddi Friendship Meet on 22 May 2022 at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre.
4 men's team and two women's team participated. All the teams were very competitive and delivered exciting matches.

Kabaddi has gained popularity in Tanzania due to efforts by Tanzania Kabaddi Association. Young  girls & boys are showing great interest in the game of Kabaddi. Indian diaspora has also retained its connection with the game in Tanzania.
