High Commission of India organised a DefExpo on 30th May 2022 at Hyatt Regency, Dar es Salaam in association with Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, GoI & Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM). 16 companies (7 Defence Public Sector Undertaking & 9 private companies) participated in the event which was inaugurated by Minister of Defence of Tanzania, H.E. Dr Stergomena Tax. Defence Minister encouraged to develop Defence partnership between India & Tanzania.

Chief of Staff of Tanzania Peoples Defence Forces (TPDF), Lt . Gen. ME Mkinguke, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, Mr Anurag Bajpai, senior leadership of TPDF & Defence Attaches of 9 African countries attended the event which followed by one to one meetings between company representatives and TPDF officers.
