Contract signing ceremony for water projects in 24 towns in Tanzania under Indian Line  of Credit of USD 500 million from EXIM Bank of India took place at the State House in Dodoma on 6 June 2022. President of Tanzania, H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan, Speaker of National Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Water, High Commissioner of India to Tanzania Binaya Srikanta Pradhan and other dignitaries witnessed the signing ceremony.

Four Indian companies L&T, Afcons-Vijeta JV, Megha Engineering and Jindal Water Infrastructure have been selected to implement the water project which is expected to benefit over 6 million people in 24 towns in Tanzania.
