Cooperation in defence sector is one of the important pillar of bilateral cooperation between India and Tanzania. During the visit of Hon'ble PM of India, H.E. Narendra Modi in July 2016, the two countries agreed to elevate the defence relations to further heights. A special request was made for deployment of Indian Military Training Team (IMTT) at CSC Arusha to revise existing curriculum and develop training programme for the Military Schools in Tanzania. As a follow up, a team of officers from Indian military tri-services has been deployed at CSC Duluti, Arusha since December 2017.
