Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated on 02 October, 2021

High Commission of India celebrated 152nd birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi at the University of Dar es Salaam on 02 October, 2021. High Commissioner Shri Binaya Srikanta Pradhan paid floral tributes to Bapu and said his principles, philosophy and idea of sustainable development is even more relevant in today's society. High Commissioner also paid tributes to the Father of the Nation of Tanzania, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere on the occasion.
Mr. Adrian Nyangamalle, Chairman of TAFCA(Tanzania Federation of Craft & Art Association) regarded Mahatma Gandhi as an inspiration for Africa.
Students of Indian School of Dar es Salaam sang beautiful bhajans dedicated to Bapu on the occasion.
Leaders of Indian organizations in Tanzania, members of Indian diaspora, faculty & staff of Dar es Salaam University and the staff of High Commission offered floral tributes to Bapu on his birth anniversary.
