President H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan landed in New Delhi on 8 October 2023. This is her first visit to India since the assumption of the office of President. She was warmly welcomed by MoS for Education H.E. Annapurna Devi. .

President of India H.E. Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister H.E. Narendra Modi received President H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

 



President H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan laid a wreath at Rajghat and paid respects to Mahatma Gandhi.

 

Prime Minister H.E. Narendra Modi and President H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan held wide-ranging talks. The two leaders reviewed various facets of India-Tanzania ties and discussed ways to further deepen the close and historic ties between the two countries.

 

 

A wide range of areas of bilateral cooperation in the agenda, including trade & investment, defence & maritime security, development partnership, higher education and people to people ties were discussed during delegation level talks.
