High Commissioner Binaya Srikanta Pradhan attended the inauguration ceremony of water projects at Tinde & Shelui by President H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan on 17 October 2023. Extension of Lake Victoria water pipeline to towns of Tinde & Shelui & adjoining villages funded Exim Bank of India is expected to benefit 136,000 people.

High Commissioner also visited new ongoing water project sites at Singida and Manyoni where drilling of borewells & reservoir construction are in progress. These towns are part of ongoing water supply projects in 24 towns in Tanzania being supported by Government of India.
