Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Varaha was welcomed by Tanzania Peoples Defence Forces at Zanzibar port on 23 February 2024.

Col E E Mpumbiye, 101 Zanzibar Brigade and Naval Commander, Zanzibar were welcomed onboard ICGS Varaha.

 
Various training sessions conducted onboard ICGS Varaha with Tanzanian Navy including Marine Pollution Response, maritime search and rescue.

 
Commanding Officer Mobeen Khan and his delegation called on Brigade Commander of 101 Brigade, Col. E.E Mpumbiye on 24 February, 2024.

 
The delegation also visited Zanzibar Maisha Bora Foundation established by the First Lady of Zanzibar H.E. Mariam H Mwinyi with the purpose of enhancing quality of life for Zanzibari Women, Youth and Children.
The delegation was received by H.E. Riziki Pembe Juma, Minister of Social Welfare of Zanzibar.

 
Students of Brilliant Academy School, Zanzibar and members of Zanzibar Kabaddi Federation visited the ship.

 
Under the initiative of Puneet Sagar Abhiyan, visiting delegation of ICGS Varaha in association with Tanzania People Defence Forces, representative heads from diaspora organizations, M/s Crux Engineering, M/s L&T, M/s Megha Engineering, M/s Afcons, and cadets from National Cadets Corps (NCC) participated in the cleaning campaign at Forodhani Beach, Zanzibar on February 24, 2024.

A deck reception was hosted onboard ICGS Varaha by Commanding Officer on February 24, 2024. Principal Secretary, Ministry of Blue Economy & Fisheries, H.E. Aboud Suleiman Jumbe, Brigade Commander of 101 Brigade, Col. E.E Mpumbiye, Former MP, Mr. Bhagwanji M. Meisuria and members from Tanzania Peoples Defence Forces, K.M.K.M Coast Guard, faculties of IIT Madras-Zanzibar, representative heads from diaspora organizations and government officials attended the event.
