High Commission of India, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania

High Commission of India, Dar es Salaam celebrated 74th Republic Day of India on 26th January 2023. High Commissioner Binaya Srikanta Pradhan unfurled the national flag and read out President's message to the Nation. Students of Indian School, Dar es Salaam sang patriotic songs on the occasion. The flag unfurling ceremony was attended by over 200 members of Indian diaspora and friends of India in Tanzania.

In the evening, High Commission hosted a reception dinner attended by dignitaries including Ambassadors of foreign Missions, senior Tanzanian government officials, prominent Tanzanian and Indians living in Tanzania. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mbarouk Nassor Mbarouk was the Chief Guest. Dy. Minister in his speech conveyed the greetings of President of Tanzania to the Government and the people of India. He thanked India for its consistent support in development projects in Tanzania and hoped that India's G20 presidency would advance the interest of developing countries.

The iconic Tanzanite Bridge, Chancery and some buildings belonging to Indian community were lit in Indian tricolor.
