Kabaddi tournament (25th March 2023)

High Commission of India in association with Tanzania Kabaddi Sports Association organized a Kabaddi tournament at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre to celebrate the World Kabaddi Day on 25th March 2023. H.E. Said Yakubu, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Arts & Sports of Tanzania  graced the event as the Chief Guest. Local schools Kingani Secondary, High View Secondary & sports club Buffalo Dar es Salaam, Kaole Bagamoyo competed against each other with Kaole & Buffalo emerging as winners in  Men and Women's category.

High Commissioner thanked Tanzanian Government for promoting Kabaddi and wished success to the Tanzanian Kabaddi team.  High Commission of India, Tanzania Kabaddi Sports Association and the Indian diaspora have been on forefront in popularising Kabaddi in Tanzania.
