A multiple-entry business visa, valid for one or more years, is granted to those who:
- wish to visit India to set up an industrial or business venture, or to explore possibilities of doing so;
- visit India to buy or sell industrial or commercial products;
- visit India for technical meetings or discussions, or to attend board or general meetings for business service support;
- visit India for recruitment;
- are business partners or directors of a company;
- visit India to take part in exhibitions;
- visit India to deal with suppliers, evaluate quality, place orders, etc.;
- are trainees of multinational companies or corporate houses visiting India for in-house training;
- are students sponsored by AIESEC for project-based internships;
- are travel agents or tour conductors organising tours.
Documents required
- Valid travel documents and re-entry permission, if required
- Proof of financial standing and expertise in the field of the intended business
- A letter from the sponsoring organisation giving the nature of the business, the probable length of stay, and the places and organisations to be visited
- Details of business activities, VAT/tax paid in the last two years, and the business licence issued by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA)
- For independent traders: an invitation letter from the Indian counterpart and trade papers (previous bills or invoices) of recent trade
