A student visa is issued for the duration of the academic course, or for five years, whichever is less, to students who visit India for regular, full-time academic studies.
Requirements
- Proof of admission to a full-time course in a recognised or reputed educational institution in India
- A letter of financial support from the parents or guardian, with a bank guarantee or certificate
- Foreign students in India may make up to three exits and entries per academic year. A change of course or institution is allowed.
Before applying, students must complete the mandatory Study in India steps and bring the documents listed there.
