Independence Day celebrations (15 August 2024)

High Commission hosted 78th Independence Day reception with great fervor. Chief Guest of the event, H.E. Dr. Damas D Ndumbaro, Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports, Deputy Speaker of National Assembly H.E. Mussa Azan Zungu, members of Indian community & diaspora, diplomatic community, representatives of Tanzania government and friends of India joined the celebrations. High Commissioner Mr. Bishwadip Dey recounted India's journey to independence, highlighting significant achievements thereafter, thriving bilateral relations with Tanzania and committing to foster stronger collaborations. H.E. Minister lauded the strong bilateral ties, highlighting the increase in trade and investment from India and pivotal role of Indian diaspora in Tanzania in strengthening cultural relations.
