President ICCR met Deputy Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports of Tanzania H.E. Hamis Mohamed Mwinjuma at National Stadium, Dar es Salaam. They reviewed the entire gamut of cultural ties between India and Tanzania and discussed future roadmap for cooperation..

President ICCR had brief interaction with Maharashtra Mandal & Hindu Swayam Seva Sangh of Tanzania.

A cultural event was organized at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC) in honour of President ICCR. There was vibrant cultural performances by local artists and students of SVCC learning Music, tabla, yoga and Hindi on the occasion.

President ICCR and High Commissioner Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, jointly inaugurated the Tanzania Alumni of India Association (TAI). Mr. Robert Mwampembwa, Chairman of TAI, and ICCR alumni of Indian institutes were present.

President ICCR distributed certificates to participants of the 'Introduction to the Basics of Tabla' program, conducted from May to August 2023.

President ICCR visited the pioneering offshore campus of the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Madras, in Zanzibar. ICCR's support extends to facilitating Masters & PhD Programs for Tanzanian and Zanzibari students under its scholarship scheme, with prospects of some joining as future faculties at IIT Madras - Zanzibar.

Their discussions centered on reinforcing historical, cultural, and civilizational ties between the two nations. President ICCR met Second Vice President of Zanzibar H.E Hemed Suleiman Abdulla. They discussed several issues of mutual interests, with a significant emphasis on education and cultural promotion. During the meeting, President, ICCR provided a comprehensive overview of ICCR's impactful initiatives in Tanzania and Zanzibar and highlighted the dynamic activities of swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Dar es Salaam..

President ICCR met Minister of Tourism and Heritage of Zanzibar, H.E Simai Mohammed Said. Cooperation in promotion of culture, tourism, heritage protection and preservation were discussed.

President ICCR was graciously welcomed by leaders of the Indian PIO Community at the Consulate in Zanzibar. He had wonderful exchange highlighting the vibrant connection with the community.
