High Commissioner Mr. Bishwadip Dey met Prof. Najat Kassim Mohamed, Director General of the Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission (TAEC), at the TAEC headquarters in Dodoma on 20 January 2025.
During their discussions, Prof. Mohamed expressed appreciation for India's commitment to the peaceful use of nuclear energy and her readiness to collaborate on future initiatives. The High Commissioner shared insights into India's best practices in utilizing nuclear energy across various sectors, including health, education, and agriculture. Prof. Mohamed highlighted the positive impact of the Bhabhatron-II machine, which was donated by India to the Bungado Medical Centre in Mwanza, noting its role in treating hundreds of cancer patients.
